Milling & Reclamation

What Is Milling?
If you want to maintain or repair existing asphalt without spending time and money on a full excavation, removal, and installation, milling is the way to go.
The Milling Process
We use a milling machine to remove a certain depth of the existing pavement’s surface and grind the top layer. This process produces a smoother and more even surface that’s ideal for resurfacing. Then, we overlay it, which involves filling the hollow space with new asphalt.
What Is Reclamation?
Reclamation creates a stronger base layer on which new asphalt can be poured. This method reduces operating costs by eliminating the need to excavate and haul away old asphalt.
The Reclamation Process
We use specialized equipment to grind and blend the remaining pavement material, along with underlying soil and aggregates. This process creates a stronger foundation for the new asphalt layer.
